Overview

Online – Returns are accepted, but you must contact us within 4 days of delivery. The full purchase amount will be refunded immediately after we receive the returned item, assuming it’s in the same condition when it was sent. There is a 20% restocking fee if the item wasn’t damaged in shipping. However, the Marceline Emporium does not pay the return shipping, and you must contact us before shipping a return.

In store – Refunds are allowed, but only in-person, and within 7 days of purchase.

If it has been more than 30 days since the purchase date, contact us anyway, but keep in mind we’re a tiny shop, so we’ll do our best to help.

Perishable or dated items, such as food, flowers, newspapers, magazines, gift cards, etc. cannot be returned.

To complete your return, forward your email receipt with the reason you want to do a return.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds may be granted:

  • Books with obvious signs of use, unless we sold it that way;
  • Media (CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, software, video games, cassette tapes, etc.) that has been opened;
  • Any item not in the condition which we sold it, or damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error;
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.

Shipping returns

You will be responsible for paying return shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

If you are returning ‘expensive’ items, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. Marceline Emporium is not responsible for returns that are damaged during shipping.
